Breaking News: In 2009, SEA clients Newton County Schools and Carroll County Schools secured GCAP grants.
To date, SEA has worked under contract with seven applicants - and all seven have won maximum grant awards! The total amount these clients have been awarded is $21.7 million. This total represents 45% of the charter career academy funds granted by the state through this program.

In 2008, three of the six awardees from the Lt. Governor's announcement were clients of Seamless Education Associates, Inc.: the Southeastern Technical College partnership (Georgia's first regional charter school partnership ever, with four Boards of Education working together), the Houston County partnership, and the partnership from Athens-Clarke County.
To give you an idea how SEA helps our clients compete and excel, in 2007 there were 19 applicants and seven awards. Three applicants were SEA clients (Glynn County, Floyd County and the Southeastern Technical College regional partnership). Two of these clients won awards of $3.2 million each.
In 2008, there were 12 applicants and six awards. SEA had four clients, and three won - two winning $3.1 million and the other $3.0 million.
In 2009, there were eight applicants. SEA had two clients, both of which won the maximum amount available ($3.05 million)!

SEA wrote Houston's grant application and helped the partnership present as a finalist in October at the Atlanta headquarters of the Technical College System of Georgia. Houston's partnership was the ONLY first-time applicant to win an award in 2008.
